We had a Thomas the Train 3rd Birthday Party this year!
Ayden became obsessed with Thomas after his cousin left a train at our house and he carried it around for days. Now he can name every train on the show!
We used Tamara Baker for the balloons, she has done every birthday party for Ayden so far! I ordered the Thomas, Percy and James gift sacks from Jettabees on Etsy. The sacks were perfect to send extra cupcakes home at the end of the party also. My wife made the cupcakes from the Funfetti box and experimented with a cake icing kit. The cupcake toppers were also from Etsy, Christina made them for our Thomas Party. Our cookies were a local facebook find, PunknPixiePastries, Sarah and Brandon make some crazy cupcakes and made the cookies from a simple request for Thomas, James and Percy. These cookies were too cute to eat, but tasted crazy good also! The cake was one of my favorite things. Cari Ditty, email@example.com, has made all of Ayden’s cakes so far and this one was amazing! A real train track had Thomas and Percy traveling around the cake with Harold the Helicopter resting on top. Ayden was very excited when he saw his cake! We wanted to stick with Ayden’s favorites for the menu so we ordered Chik-fil-A chicken nuggets and had cheese pizza delivered. My mother made her chicken salad which got rave reviews and no one noticed we forgot to put the veggie tray out (ie: the only healthy thing on the menu)! It was an unfortunately cold day for a birthday party, but that did not stop the kids from jumping on the bouncy castle. Most the adults looked on from the warm interior out the window! We had a really great time and it worked out so good having his birthday party at 11AM before nap-time this year.
It was an awesome Thomas the Train Party!
