Davis Family 2011

As with every holiday season, Trischa and I go back to the Bahamas to spend Christmas and New Years.  This year we left the day after Christmas and stayed until New Years Day.  I always love going home to visit friends and family and this year was Kai’s first trip to his Dad’s home country.  You might remember the Davis family from previous posts, but for those who don’t know, Alexandrea is one of my best friends and we grew up together practically as siblings.  Alexandrea and Danny also welcomed a new edition to their family this year and this precious cute guy is named Caleb.  Alexandrea had asked us over to spend an afternoon at their house and so naturally we decided to do a few photos:) Alexandrea also loves photography and does really good work herself, and so we had her do a few pics for us. She took some pics of us that we absolutely love and I will post them later.  Alexandrea and Danny’s two boys are absolutely adorable and they will surely be great friends and playmates with our two boys…….in fact Nicholas and Ayden already are (as you can see).  Well I want to wish everyone a Happy New Year and I hope God grants us all a year full of good health and prosperity.

Jake and Megan

Meet Jake and Megan!  These 2 love birds are newly engaged and set to have their wedding some time next year! I was so happy when Jake’s mom called and asked me to to their engagement photographs!  I just love doing engagement/couple shoots.  For some reason I kept calling Jake, Stephen throughout the whole shoot… and he just played right along like it was his name…hahah…what a good sport.  Both Stephen ….I mean Jake and Megan were so easy to work with and kept the shoot fun with their ‘wackiness’.  I really had a great time despite the cold weather and wish the two of them all the best in the years to come.

Danny, Amanda, and Brandon Family Shoot

I’ve had to turn away quite a few people in search of good family pictures for Christmas and I’m toying with the idea of a day full of mini shoots next year in order to accommodate more of you.  Thanks for being understanding, with our three month old baby at the house, I’ve not had time to accept as many clients this year.  So next year, book early!  Sunday I went downtown to photograph a gorgeous family session for Danny, Amanda and Brandon.  I was a little worried about the chilly weather.  It always seems when the busy time of year picks up the weather starts to be uncooperative.  The shoot went really well and Danny kept us laughing.  Danny Stos is a high school friend of my wife.  They both attended dental school in different states and returned to their home town to practice dentistry.  Trisch keeps talking about how we need to hang out with them.  I agree they are a fun couple and I think you’ll see the pictures show their personality.  Thanks for the great time guys!

Santa Pics 2011

We made our annual trip to visit Santa!  This was the first year that Ayden actually answered Santa when he asked him what he wanted.  Anyone could have guessed his response….a train!  Kai did not seem to care much about Santa, but was looking stylish for the ladies in his Elf hat that his Mimi bought him!  Haha..Merry Christmas!

Waterman Family

Last Sunday I returned downtown to photograph the Waterman Family.  Lucky for them it was much better weather than the day before….but it was still cold non-the-less.  Tonya and Scott’s two kids Wyatt and Nicole were so energetic and I think that Nicole might be a future photographer because she had a bunch of great photo ideas.  This time I tried a few new downtown spots like the BOK center and the old train station…..think I will add them to my new favorite spots.  I love the pics of the kids doing their flips…they are so athletic…..OK maybe just Nicole….haha sorry Wyatt:)These guys were really a lot of fun and I am so glad I got to take their family portraits.
